Manufacturers

For manufacturers and component makers

We want to hear from companies that make humanoid robots and the parts inside them. We have no manufacturing partners today.

Who we'd like to hear from

  • Complete robots

Makers of humanoid and mobile robots, for research-stage conversations about models that already hold US authorization.

  • Actuators and joints

Motors, reducers, and quasi-direct-drive or harmonic actuators.

  • Hands and end effectors

Dexterous hands, grippers and tool interfaces built for heavy, dusty work.

  • Sensors and compute

Depth cameras, lidar, force sensing, controllers and onboard computers.

  • Batteries and power

Packs, cells and chargers, with full test documentation.

  • Software and tools

Robot software and simulation, and construction tools or attachments a robot could hold.

We welcome makers from China, the US, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Europe and elsewhere. Under current US rules, parts made in the US would weigh heavily in any model of our own (see the roadmap).

What we'll ask for

  • For a complete robot: the FCC ID and grant date of each model.
  • A bill of materials with each part's country of origin and its portion of the cost.
  • For batteries: the UN 38.3 test summary and the cell maker.
  • Enough about your ownership and supply chain to screen against US government lists and import rules.
  • The export classification of any technical information we exchange.

How it works

  1. You send the form below

    In English or Chinese.

  2. A person replies by email

If there may be a fit, we talk about what you make and what we're testing. An inquiry isn't an order or a commitment on either side.

  3. Nondisclosure first

Before drawings, specifications, quotes or brand names are exchanged, both sides sign a non-disclosure, non-use and non-circumvention agreement.

  4. Screening

We screen every supplier and its owners against US government lists, and again when the lists change.

  5. No public claims

We name no supplier, and show no supplier's name, logo or photo, without a signed agreement and their written OK.

Send an inquiry

What happens next

  1. A person reads your inquiry and replies by email.
  2. If there may be a fit, we sign a nondisclosure agreement before anything confidential is exchanged.
